Russian producer Yugraneft, a joint venture between Canadian firm Norex (98pc) and Tyumen Oil's Chernogorneft, is close to completing its own crude accounting unit in the Tyumen region in western Siberia. The completion of the unit -- which assesses the volume of crude going into the Transneft pipeline system -- permits Yugraneft to put crude into the pipeline independently, allowing it to break Tyumen Oil's (TNK) grip on its exports.
