HE may not like it but former four-time World 250cc champion, Italian rider Max Biaggi cannot under-estimate the influence of Lady Luck in his elusive search for the World Motorcycle Grand Prix's 500cc title.

The Marlboro-Yamaha rider may already have a winning machine but he still needs to ward of bad incidents which have marred his success in the big league.

This has made him more cautious in making statements, especially since this year would be the last chance for him to win a proper 500cc championship before 990cc four-stroke machines are allowed to join the field in a revamp of the Motorcycle Grand Prix starting next year.
