When the American Sigma plant went on the real estate market late last year, many predicted it wouldn't take long to sell.

Those predictions proved true.

Trek Inc., a manufacturer of high-tech electronics, has acquired the 35,000-square-foot plant in the Medina Industrial Park. Trek, a closely held, privately owned company, is in Medina and expects to move into the recently vacated plant by July.

Trek had been looking at a number-of expansion options and jumped at the chance to buy the American Sigma plant when it came on the market.
