With 59 vehicle introductions-including 26 production cars and 33 concepts-at the North American International Auto Show, it's no small feat to make sure AutoWeek readers get the scoop on each of them.

Herewith, without further ado and in no particular order, are models that didn't make our first round of coverage (AW, Jan. 22):

Developed by the high-performance Mercedes AMG division, this roadster comes with a 349-horsepower supercharged V6 Kompressor engine and the SLK's fully retractable, electric hardtop.

The SLK32 AMG features the SpeedShift transmission, which Mercedes claims provides up to 35 percent faster gear changes than a conventional automatic. Under heavy braking, SpeedShift automatically downshifts to the optimal gear. Conversely, by holding the gear lever to the left, it will determine the best gear for maximum acceleration. Braking comes from 13.15-inch vented front discs and 11.80-inch vented rear discs.

Ford Explorer Sportsman

Based on the 2002 Explorer, this rig was devised around a fly-fishin' mission-so much so that it sports a 30-gallon live well out back. The best idea here is a roof rack with elements that can be pulled out, like a drawer, and folded down onto the side windows so that fishing rods, nets or other gear can be loaded from the side. The rear seatbacks have detachable carry packs that fold out to become workbenches for on-site fly-tying.
