LEGACY -- With record-breaking absorption and numerous' corporate relocations, 2000 was a standout year for commercial real estate in the Metroplex.

The year saw the launch of some of the biggest projects in 10 years, including Cisco's 1.7 million-square-foot, $370 million campus in Richardson and Wilcox Development Service's 756,000-square-foot, $150 million speculative addition to Chase International Plaza.

In terms of volume, though, it would be hard to top the activity seen at Legacy, the 2,600-acre, EDS-owned business park in Plano. Already home to Frito-Lay Inc., J.C. Penney Co. Inc. and Dr Pepper/Seven-Up Cos. Inc., Legacy added several new …
