$21 million facility is prize for survivors if startup fails to secure financing

LOVE FIELD -- If Legend Airlines Inc. doesn't find its way out of bankruptcy court and resume flying, the start-up airline's private terminal at Dallas Love Field will become the next aviation battlefield, one local industry insider predicts.

"Legend has proven that people do like to fly out of there," said the source, who spoke on condition of anonymity. "That's the real franchise over there -- with the shortage of gates at Love. So the real fight will be who gets the terminal. If Legend doesn't come up with a workable plan, then the bankruptcy court will put the terminal up for bid."
