Murakami resigns post as LDP upper house head Yomiuri Liberal Democratic Party heavyweight Masakuni Murakami resigned Monday as head of the House of Councillors group of LDP members, as prosecutors continued their investigations into scandal-tainted KSD, a foundation under the former Labor Ministry that arranged industrial accident insurance for small companies and from which Murakami received political donations.
