JAKARTA (JP): Indonesian blue-collar workers received the highest salary increase in 2000 as compared to their counterparts in other Asian countries, according to a survey by management consulting firm Hewitt Associates. The firm said that the average base salary increase of employees in Indonesia ranged from 13.3 percent to 14.8 percent, with blue-collar workers receiving the highest percentage increase and senior management or executives receiving the lowest.
