KOLKATA, Jan. 10. THE 26th Calcutta Book Fair opens on January 30 under the aegis of Publishers & Booksellers Guild. The organisers estimate sales during the 12-day event at over Rs 8 crore, which is 20 per cent more than that of the last fair.
Mr Kalyan Shah, General Secretary of the Guild, told newspersons here that Mr Pere Vicins, President of International Publishers Association, would be the chief guest at the inaugural function at which Mr Sitakanta Mahapatra, Chairman of National Book Trust (NBT) would also be present.
