OICNETWORKS Sdn Bhd, the joint venture company of Islamic Development Bank (IDB) and Mimos Berhad, is drawing up a roadmap to help address the digital divide issue among member countries of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference (OIC).

The roadmap will contain strategies to improve information technology (IT) network connectivity and content among members, and also to review their growth plans and IT planning.

OICnetworks' president and chief executive officer Ir Dr Ishkandar Baharin said as a start, the company will focus on efforts to beef up the IT and network infrastructure of each country through partnerships and alliances with industry players. …
