Ex-Disney exec eyes nightly rodeo for Osceola County.

KISSIMMEE -- Former Walt Disney executive Tom Elrod is saddling up and heading for Osceola County.

There, Elrod hopes to install his Great American Rodeo.

A joint venture between Elrod and Management Resources, a California company, the rodeo would perform at Osceola's planned new agricultural center four or five nights each week.

"It's going to be the world's first and only permanent rodeo," says Elrod, formerly president of marketing for Walt Disney World.

Plans call for the show to start with an old-fashioned barbecue, complete with chicken and ribs cooked over an open flame. Guests then would sit back for a full-scale rodeo performed by …
