NEW DELHI, Dec. 25. - Though the Prime Minister bought peace on Ayodhya by saying that the government would abide by the court verdict, the controversy didn't die down. BJP hardliners have asserted that a Ram temple will be built at the disputed site.

The BJP vice-president, Mr Pyarelal Khandelwal, told The Statesman on Sunday that "there is no power in the world that can remove the Ram temple from the site and build something else in its place." He was responding to a question on the possibility of building a mosque at the site if the court verdict went against the temple.
