Travelscene, the independent city breaks company, has contracted eCommunications, a leading application service provider (ASP), to provide it with e2MailCenter, an interactive e-mail marketing solution. Prior to adopting the e2 service, Travelscene could only review statistics based on page views and had no real means of tracking on-line visitors.
* BBC STICKS TO TRADITION
The BBC has scrapped ambitious plans to restructure its marketing department to serve specific audience and `attitudinal' groups and will revert to marketing teams for each specific TV channel and radio station. A deputy to the director of marketing and communication has yet to be appointed.
* VOUCHER VACATION
British Holidays, the family holiday specialist, has teamed up with Leisure Vouchers to offer customers the opportunity to redeem their vouchers for a range of holidays throughout the UK. The move reflects the growing number of redeemers who are joining British Holidays, which recently included Acorne Sports and Mithril.
