Codd, Knight locate first heart practice in St. Charles.

With open heart surgeries growing at 10 percent to 15 percent annually in the St. Charles area, St. Louis Heart Institute Cardiothoracic Surgeons Inc. has decided to get closer to the pulse of the community.

The physician group practice moved its main office to SSM St. Joseph Health Center in St. Charles, after 16 years on the campus of SSM DePaul Health Center. The move marks the first open heart surgical practice west of the Missouri River in the metro area.
