GM buys major stake in Behlmann.

General Motors Corp. has acquired a majority stake in Behlmann Pontiac-GMC Truck Inc., one of the largest automobile dealerships in the metropolitan area.

Motors Holding, a General Motors unit, is financing the more than $10 million sale.

"We are making a capital investment in the dealership, which over time will be bought out by Ken Behlmann -- and not over a long period of time. Our capital investment is strictly temporary" said Clarence Oliver, regional director of Motors Holding.

Ken Behlmann, 61, who co-owned the dealership with his uncle, Paul Behlmann, 65, said the sale enables him to buy out his uncle's stake in the business.
