Developer John Steffen's plans to acquire two downtown buildings have been put on hold.

Steffen did not close deals to acquire the Arcade and Syndicate Trust buildings on schedule and has received extensions on the contracts.

Steffen, president of Pyramid Construction Inc., could not be reached for comment. Matt O'Leary, Pyramid's development coordinator, said the company plans to renovate the Paul Brown, Arcade, Frisco and Syndicate.. Trust buildings for commercial and residential uses.
