Last year this time, both people and businesses alike were looking forward to year 2000 festivities and many businesses across the nation are hoping to cash in again this year to commemorate the start of the 21st century.

One of the most eager sectors is the travel industry, which hopes to profit on the "21st-century boom" -- especially after losing bookings last year due to fears surrounding the Y2K bug.
