Nearly 900 enterprises open accounts with E-470 Authority

There's more than one way to pay the tolls on E-470.

Nearly 900 companies have opened commercial accounts with the E-470 Authority to pay tolls using electronic transponders -- saving time for trucks and employees speeding along the free-moving strip of highway east of Denver.

The transponders allow the tolls to be deducted electronically from an account set up with the E-470 Authority. More than 40 percent of tolls are paid using electronic transponders, according to the authority.
