Local energy firm gives telecom company $25 million boost
Grande Communications Inc. is getting energized: Houston's Reliant Energy Ventures Inc. has pumped $25 million into the San Marcos company, with an option for another $25 million by the end of the year.
With a commitment from Reliant for further financing, Grande is well on its way toward more than $100 million in financing it expects to close from new and current investors by the end of this year, says Bill Morrow, CEO and founder of Grande.
