Blue, the through-the-line agency founded by Lansdown Conquest's former chief executive Bill Patterson has closed after only a year.
Patterson and his partner in the venture -- Paul Simonet -- are both now working for one of Blue's former clients, Swapitshop. Simonet is the brand director and Patterson is the development director.
"We had a couple of setbacks with clients letting us down and we were left high and dry," Patterson admitted.
One of Blue's chief clients, a computer games manufacturer called Codemasters, hired a new marketing director who took the business elsewhere. Blue was also working on a through-the-line campaign for the launch of Sony's new electronic dog, which acts like a real-life pet.
