Oct. 30 will be the day Valley radio stations and agencies gather at the Herberger Theater to find out the winners of the Phoenix Achievement in Radio Awards 2000. This is the second year Phoenix has participated in the event.

Proceeds from competition entry fees and event tickets will benefit the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation, Arizona Chapter.

Radio stations and agencies serving both English and Spanish-language audiences submitted 107 entries in categories ranging from "Best Morning Show" to "Best Use of Humor in a Radio …
