Direct marketing agencies are lining up to pitch for a multimillion-pound centralised account from HSBC.
The banking giant's UK arm, HSBC Bank, is seeking an agency to handle an account, worth between 5 million [pounds sterling] and 7 million [pounds sterling]. HSBC, which uses several direct marketing agencies, wants to put most of its below-the-line business into one agency.
The pitch process is being handled through the AAR. It is thought that up to six agencies have been contacted and invited to pitch.
