Magnetic North, the new-media agency recently set up by a breakaway team from J. Walter Thompson Manchester, has appointed a creative director and broadcast production director.
Brendan Dawes, previously the creative director at the webshop Subnet, takes on the creative role. JWT Manchester loses another senior staff member to Magnetic, with its head of TV, Janet Harrison, taking on the broadcast role.
Launched last month, the Manchester-based agency was established in an attempt to address the lack of new-media skills in the regions outside London. It aims to create online branding solutions across the web, interactive TV and mobile devices (Campaign, 1 September).
