My E-Trade launches Internet portal for SMEs.

MANY companies, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), are hesitant to put their business on the Internet due to budget constraints and generally lack of awareness of its benefits.

According to My E-Trade Sdn Bhd's chairman Rozal Abdul Rahman, this deprives them of realising the business opportunities on the Net. He said the company has set up the www.mytrade.com.my portal to serve as a platform for the SMEs to get on the Internet quickly and gain competitive advantage.

My E-Trade plans to invest RM3 million to enhance the portal, out of which RM1.5 million will be spent on marketing and promotions. Rozal said that www.mytrade.com.my will …
