Immunex Corp. has paid more than $27 million for two properties on Seattle's Pier 89, and is in talks that could lead to ownership of the entire pier next to its planned $450 million waterfront campus.
The Seattle biotechnology company acknowledged this week that it hopes to acquire the remainder of the pier, which is adjacent to Terminal 88, a 29-acre property where Immunex plans to break ground next year on a development known as the Helix Project.
