Suntrup wants to buy Kribs Ford City.(Suntrup Automotive)(Brief Article)
Suntrup Automotive is negotiating to buy Kribs Ford City in Olivette.
Ken Klein, general manager at Suntrup Buick-Pontiac-GMC Trucks, confirmed that talks were underway but declined to discuss the negotiations.
"If you're a football coach, you don't want to put up a 'W' until the game is over," Klein said.
Members of the Kribs family could not be reached for comment.
Kribs Ford ranked No. 19 on the St. Louis Business Journal's Largest Automobile Dealerships list with 1,807 new car sales and 1,940 used car sales in 1999. Suntrup was not on the list.
