NEW DELHI, Sept. 27. - The Union cabinet today approved new pay scales for Civil and Police Services commonly known as Danics/Danips (Delhi Andaman and Nicobar, Daman and Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Lakshdweep civil/police services).

On initial appointment as per the decision, the pay scale for Danics/Danips and Pondicherry Civil and Police Services would be Rs 6500-10,500.

On completion of four years it would be Rs 8,000-13,500, on fulfilling the residence requirement of eight years, Rs 10,000-15,200, on fulfilling the residence requirement of 13 years Rs 12,000-16,500, and on fulfilling the residence requirement of 18 years Rs 14,300-18,300. …
