More job-seekers find employment this year.

MORE job-seekers who are registered with the Human Resources Ministry have found employment this year due to better economic conditions.

The first seven months this year saw a total of 18,144 job-seekers, including 3,714 retrenched workers who have been involved in job placement.

According to the Manpower Department's monthly report on the labour market, the number represents an increase of 7.6 per cent from the same period last year.

The report attributed the rise to improvements in the labour market, in line with the country's economic growth.
