Evaluating the findings of this book on intergenerational cultural transmission among Cambodians in the Boston area is challenging because of the dearth of factual knowledge about this group. A few surveys of the Southeast Asian population in southern California and a handful of case studies and oral histories constitute the extent of social science research on Cambodians in the United States.
