The latest developments in the curriculum areas of math, science, language arts and social studies.

Alarming numbers of teachers, especially those who have more than 20 years of experience, are leaving the profession. The National Science Teachers Association discovered this after investigating recent reports citing a crisis in education created by large numbers of teachers being unprepared in their subjects and an increasing teacher shortage caused primarily by teachers retiring and an expanding student enrollment. The NSTA conducted a survey to assess how these reports apply to science teachers.
