HP puts more customer focus in SMB strategy.

A newly reorganized and "reinvented" Hewlett-Packard (HP) Asia Pacific is bent on capturing the small-and medium-sized business (SMB) segment in the region with a new strategy that offers solutions and services "in-a-box."

At a regional launch last week in Singapore, HP officials outlined the new strategy that is customer-focused, in line with the worldwide "reinvention" strategy.

HP Asia Pacific vice-president and general manager Michael Hoffman said the new strategy involves more than just pre-bundling and packaging computers, printers and some software. The new strategy will heavily involve HP's alliance partners through the eSmart Alliance scheme, which …
