Agency set to sue Mitsubishi Heavy Yomiuri The Defense Agency is expected to file a lawsuit against Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. over an accident in which one of the main rotors on a Maritime Self-Defense Force helicopter produced by the company came off and caught fire, injuring eight people during a joint military training drill organized by the U.S. Navy in Hawaii four years ago. It is unusual for the agency to file a lawsuit against a manufacturer over problems with components as both sides have long maintained close business relations, according to an official of the agency's Equipment Bureau.
