'Bit Valley' workers forgo summer vacation Yomiuri "Bit Valley," an area in Shibuya, Tokyo, that is home to about 400 Internet start-ups, has become one of the most energetic places in the nation. In contrast to other areas in the capital, which are almost empty during the summer holiday season, Bit Valley, the Japanese version of Silicon Valley in the United States, is a hive of activity.
