With much fanfare, and huge posters of a shouting, tattooed gentleman, Printmountain was formally launched at Drupa. Exhibiting on HP's stand, the company is a UK-based entrant in the open-market RFQ category, with financial backing from Internet Capital Group and GE Equity. The site will be functioning in the UK this summer; Germany and other European countries are scheduled for later in the year. HP developed Printmountain's technology, although other E-commerce players were discussing potential future relationships with HP.
