KUANTAN, Tues. - Police will come down hard on Ecstasy pill users and operators of gaming slot machines, Kuantan district police chief Assistant Commissioner Ghazali Mohd Amin said today.

He said 320 Ecstasy pill users and 152 slot machine operators were arrested between Jan 1 and Aug 10.

Those detained included 208 Chinese, 107 Malays and three Indians.

"We consider Ecstasy pills and gaming slot machines the enemy of the State," he said after briefing Kuantan MCA members on its crackdown so far this year.
