Health Care: Nearly $2M to Be Donated Over Several Years
San Diego's Consumer Center for Health Education and Advocacy, a pilot program to help the local indigent population obtain health care, has gotten a financial boost.
The center announced June 29 the California Endowment committed $830,000 to the program over the next three years.
County officials plan to match the grant made by the Woodland Hills-based charitable foundation, providing a total of $1.76 million over the next three years to the center.
