PDC poised to pay $8M for Centennial Mill.(Portland Development Commission )

Centennial Mill, considered by many to be the most significant piece of River District property will see equal parts grazing and razing over the next few years.

The Portland Development Commission expects to close the $8 million deal to buy the mill from Archer Daniels Midland Inc. this week.

Bruce Allen, PDC's River District development manager, said upon closing, PDC will begin a lengthy planning effort to see how the site will be redeveloped for a combination of open space and for a Portland Police Department mounted horse patrol facility.
