Left MPs want PM to 'restrain' Mamata.

NEW DELHI, July 26. - A nine-member delegation of Left MPs from both Houses of Parliament met the Prime Minister today urging him to "restrain his minister and Trinamul Congress leader, Miss Mamata Banerjee, as she is trying to run a parallel administration in West Bengal taking advantage of her position as a Union minister".

The group, led by Mr Biplab Dasgupta, submitted a memorandum to Mr Vajpayee alleging, among other things, that "Miss Mamata Banerjee is of the view that she can do whatever she likes and the rules and law of the country that apply to ordinary citizens don't apply to her".
