Move over high-speed Internet access -- warp-speed Internet connectivity is on the way.

MCI WorldCom plans to provide another option for high-speed Internet access using wireless technology known as MMDS, multichannel multipoint distribution service.

The company started service trials in Memphis, Tenn., Jackson, Miss., and Baton Rouge, La., last month to bring wireless, high-speed Internet access to businesses and homes using the airwaves to bypass local telephone and cable systems:
