Mitsubishi to build Czech plant
Czechinvest, the Czech government's investment promotion agency, announced in early June that Mitsubishi Electric had decided to build a $32million (22million [pounds sterling]) components plant making alternators and starters for the European market 30km north-west of Prague. The Plant will employ 280 people. Mitsubishi is yet to apply for government incentives, which usually include a tax holiday, training subsidy and tariff breaks on imports and production equipment.
