LAS COLINAS - Developers Terry Casey and Leon Backes are buying the NEC America complex on Walnut Hill Lane, about a mile south of Highway 114.

The deal, which is expected to close in two months, includes three buildings owned by NEC with a total of 275,725 square feet on 17 acres.

Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

NEC, a telecommunications-equipment manufacturer, will lease back the space until it moves 1,900 employees into a new 530,000-square-foot headquarters in Las Colinas at the end of the year.
