DATE FOR KL BUS FARE HIKE TO BE KNOWN LATER.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 30 (Bernama) -- The implementation of the fare hike for stage buses in Kuala Lumpur and its vicinity based on a zoning system will be decided at a later date.
Commercial Vehicle Licencing Board (CVLB) secretary Saleh Yusuf said in a statement today that until then, all stage bus services with operations starting in the city will be required to charge existing fares.
Entrepreneur Development Minister Datuk Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz recently announced a nationwide bus fare hike of up to 33.33 percent to be effective from July 1.
The nationwide bus fare hike covers stage, express and mini buses.
