IN a match where Malaysia seemed destined to lose, defender Mazuki Yusof came to the rescue with a late equaliser to salvage pride in their Group Nine under-19 Asian Championship qualifying match at the Shah Alam Stadium yesterday.

The draw also ensured that Malaysia take on South Korea tomorrow still with a chance of playing in October's final round.

In the other match, the Philippines edged Macau 2-1.

Malaysia had dominated the entire match but woeful finishing, the woodwork and Singapore keeper Lewis Lionel contrived to force a dramatic finish.
