EPE TO STREAMLINE OPERATION AND CONCENTRATE ON EXPORT MARKET.
KUALA LUMPUR, June 21 (Bernama) -- EPE Power Corporation Bhd will make every effort to streamline its operation and concentrate on the export market in the hope of maintaining the same level of last year's sales in the financial year ending Dec 31, 2000.
For the financial year ended Dec 31, 1999, the group recorded a group pre-tax profit of RM2.9 million against a loss of RM24.4 million, while the turnover slipped to RM94 million from RM128 million previously.
Its chairman, Syed Zaid Syed Jaffar Albar said the group had shifted its focus on its export activities as EPE could no longer rely on the domestic market and had to be prepared to face challengers …
