Strong tech sector adds to growth in recruiting field for top talent

GREATER DALLAS -- Growing demand for chief-level management has pushed Dallas near the top for the executive-search sector.

While on- and off-line firms and companies continue to compete with each other to recruit and retain talent, the value of blue-chip executives has soared and the number of search firms in Dallas -- both retained by companies and on a contingency basis -- has grown from 106 main and branch offices in 1999 to 115 to date, as reported by research and publishing group Kennedy Information Center.
