KUALA LUMPUR, May 31 (Bernama) -- Malaysia is now in a better position to compete with and complement Singapore in the petrochemical industry despite the latter's earlier involvement in the sector, Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA) chairman Tan Sri Zainal Abidin Sulong said today.
He said Malaysia had developed its pretrochemical industry vigorously over the last 10 years and it had now emerged as one of the most cost-effective petrochemical industry producers.
