TL, Austin Ventures uncork VC offices in Dallas-Fort Worth.

WEST END - Two prominent venture-capital firms are staking claims to Dallas-Fort Worth's nearly $500 million VC market by opening local offices.

Austin-based Austin Ventures L.P., the largest VC firm in Texas, has signed a commercial lease for 8,000 square feet in the five-story Oil Well Supply Building at the corner of North Lamar and Munger streets, near downtown Dallas. And TL Ventures, a Wayne, Pa-based. technology-investment concern, opened an Addison office March 6.
