ICT policies to suit various age categories.

THE National Information Technology Council (NITC) has recommended that appropriate policies and programmes be implemented for different age categories of Malaysians to ensure that they gain equitable access to information and communication technology (ICT).

The council also has highlighted the need for special groups such as the disabled people and those with little or no formal education to be given equal opportunities to enjoy the benefits of ICT.

According to NITC Secretariat's programme director A. Jayanath, there is a dire need to provide early exposure to ICT in order to develop the potential human capital for the knowledge economy (k-economy).
