HANOI, May 6 (Bernama) -- Vietnam's late wartime Prime Minister Pham Van Dong who died last week at the age of 94 was buried today in a state funeral ceremony after the Communist country mourned his death for two days.

He was laid to rest in a military-style ceremony at Mai Dich Cemetary west of here after the funeral procession travelled from a city mortuary with Dong carried in a howitzer gun carriage.

Those present at the ceremony aired live over state-run VTV included Communist party secretary-general Le Kha Phieu, President Tran Duc Luong and Prime Minister Phan Van Khai.
