CALCUTTA, April 27. - Air-India authorities served two more blows to Calcutta within a month of withdrawing its only direct international flight from here to Bangkok and Tokyo. A-I authorities virtually downgraded its regional office in the city and turned down the proposal to operate a flight to Hong Kong.

A-I withdrew its flight from Mumbai to Tokyo via Calcutta and Bangkok from 29 March. A-I Employees' Guild staged a demonstration today in front of the airlines' city office protesting against the decision and demanded increase in frequency of its flights from here.
